One thing that I have high hopes of doing, come the time for my 4th baby to be born… is to nurse.
With nursing you have to prepare yourself… in so many ways & one of those ways is to find a good breast pad. I have heard raves about Bamboobies for well over a year now. I look so forward to trying them personally… but since I have not yet (since baby is not due until Oct.) – I had Aliesha, one of our writers, to write up a few paragraphs as to why SHE personally LOVES and USES Bamboobies and has for well over a year now.
“I started using Bamboobies when I was nursing my oldest daughter (now almost two). Before using Bamboobies, I used disposable nursing pads, which, while absorbent, seemed to increase the amount of clogged ducts I got. I tried a few other cloth nursing pads (just cotton with no backing) and they always leaked. When I tried Bamboobies for the first time, I was in love! I used them the whole rest of the time with my oldest daughter and definitely saw a reduction in clogged ducts!
They are made with breathable bamboo and have a backing that prevents leakage. They are soft and don’t stick to your body, and they aren’t cold and icky when they get wet! I now have four pairs of them and I use them every day. (I am now nursing my second daughter.) I would not recommend using the regular ones for the first week or so of breastfeeding, since they are not designed for the heavy letdowns when your milk first comes in, but after things regulate a bit they are perfect! I haven’t tried the overnight ones, but they would probably be perfect for those first couple of weeks nursing.
Overall, I highly recommend Bamboobies to any nursing mom! They are just awesome and will totally save you money in the long run over disposable nursing pads!”

I just got a pair of bamboobies in the mail and can’t wait to try. But I already think I will be picking up some more of these before my new baby comes in October. I get a terrible rash from disposable pads. And I leak straight through any reusable ones. I have to double up and look so silly in public. But would rather look silly than smell like sour milk. I can’t wait to try these and hope they are the answer to my problems. They are so super soft. I would probably get overnights pads, because I leak a lot.
tough decision since I need them for both day and night….so I would use my GC on regulars, then buy some overnights too!
