I am a huge fan of Exederm skin care. I’ve used their products on Jayden’s skin during the worst of his Eczema and they’ve helped keep his skin moisturized without irritation. Whenever I mention Eczema products, I must stress that products won’t make Eczema vanish. Most of the time Eczema is caused by an allergy, often times by food, so it’s important to be tested for allergies when dealing with the condition.
That said, Exederm products are great for managing Eczema as they are made with the mildest ingredients. They are free of:
Fragrance
Color or Dyes
Parabens
Lanolin
SLS or SLES
Propylene Glycol
Formaldehyde
Phthalates
Every doctor we’ve gone to has recommended hydrocortisone creams, but I’ve never felt comfortable using them on Jayden’s skin. Exederm offers a Flare Control Cream which is currently America’s only paraben-free hydrocortisone cream. It’s maximum strength and available without a prescription. I now use it on Jayden’s cheeks if they’re looking a little rosy to prevent them from flaring up and cracking. For regular moisturizing I use Intensive Moisturizer. I don’t use it every day, but it’s one of my go to products (in my purse) if we’re out and his skin’s looking a little dry. The moisturizer is light and non-greasy, so it’s great to use on-the-go.
