She {hearts} Steeped Tea

photo SteepedTea_zps19aba4bf.png Keith and I both love a good cup of tea.  Most cold wintry evenings are spent with our favourite tea in hand as we unwind.  A friend of mine from Keith’s home town also has a passion for tea, and is selling some fabulous tea, made right here in Canada.

photo fcb6ceec-b064-4629-bab7-28216e71e51c_zpsef8def18.jpg Steeped Tea was started in Canada by Tonia, a Mom who came across Earl Grey De La Creme loose tea and fell in love.  She started having tea parties with her friends and family to introduce them to great tea, and when it became so popular that she couldn’t keep up, she decided to start a consultant based business.

Who doesn’t love a good tea party!  The company was also recently featured on Dragon’s Den, which is a very popular show in Canada.  A group of investors are presented with countless opportunities from small businesses, and they choose who they want to partner with.  Steeped Tea was lucky to be chosen and is now working with two of the investors.  The reason for the investment is to bring Steeped Tea to the US!  Starting March 18, American citizens will have the opportunity to start up their own Steeped Tea business.

Lindsey sent me three different teas and a clip on strainer so I could give it a try.  The clip on strainer definitely makes it easy to make just one cup of tea.  Scoop your favourite loose tea and clip it right onto your mug!  The teas are also really delicious.   In fact, I just enjoyed a fabulous cup of Lemon Chiffon.
