When designing a new look for my blog, I almost always turn to fabric for inspiration. Some of my blog designs have been inspired by shirts, dresses, and my latest – a clutch I purchased on Etsy. I turned to my clutch one day and thought, “Hmmm, I want to do something like this on my blog” and it felt right. I started off using the exact colors in the clutch and in true Sheena fashion, I got to tweaking and experimenting until I was satisfied. The final result was truly an inspiration and not a complete copy of the clutch. It’s one thing to design something vastly similar to an item (which is fine if legal), but I absolutely love seeing how people put their own twist on things that inspire them.
