She {hearts} hellomellow

The folks at hellomellow sent me a goodie bag just in time for Mother’s Day. What I love about hellomellow products, besides how yummy they smell and feel, is that they were created with Cancer in mind. We are all aware that there are certain ingredients in mainstream products that are linked to Cancer and hellomellow creator and massage therapist, Tracy Fieldstein, wanted to create the healthiest, purest, most physically and spiritually healing products for her clients.

hellomellow products are free of synthetic colors/fragrances, parabens, phthalates, sulfates, petrochemicals, fillers, even water and gluten! Everything’s pure and handmade with avocado-mango butter, packaged in recyclable packaging. hellomellow offers body/lip butters, scrubs, oils, salts, and uplifting sprays in scents that are sure to shift energy, moods, and heal souls.

She {hearts} Bontanical Paperworks

Recently I had the chance to review a set of Bright Bouquet Plantable Cards from Botanical Paperworks, and I have loved using them for special notes!  Seed paper is a perfect way to send a greeting in the spring (or anytime, really)!

After your recipient is finished reading their note, they can plant the paper and watch beautiful wildflowers grow!  The designs are modern, and the paper is beautifully textured and made from post-consumer waste.

In addition to the cards I reviewed, some of my other favorite items from Botanical Paperworks are the plantable Mother’s Day cards (adorable!), plantable thank you cards (instead of tossing the card, your friend can plant it!), plantable confetti (so fun for a party!), and this elephant plantable calendar (love the graphic!).

If you’re looking for plantable paper invitations or favors for an upcoming event (wedding, baby shower, party, Mother’s Day, graduation, etc.), Botanical Paperworks is sure to have exactly what you need! The plantable seed paper favors would be great for spring weddings, baby showers, and other events! I had so much fun browsing their site and I know you will too!

She {hearts} Candy Cottages

Does your family have a tradition of decorating Gingerbread Houses during the Christmas season? I love the idea and even before I had Allie Grace I decorated them each year in my class with my students and then again with my 4-Hers. However, actually assembling the graham crackers into the frame of the house was so time consuming. Not to mention that as we’d began to spread on the icing the sides of our houses sometimes came tubling down! Then I made a discovery!

Two years ago I discovered The Candy Cottage at a Christmas Show and ended up purchasing one for most of the kiddos on my Christmas list. Candy Cottages snap together in just seconds and is sturdy so it won’t collapse like other kits will. The best part is that its reusable. Just wash it off and decorate it time and time again.

The best part is that you can think outside the box and decorate your cottage, not only for the Christmas holidays, but for any time of the year!

{heart} It

Any day can be a Candy Cottage day. From traditional Christmas houses, to Easter houses, Valentine’s houses, Birthday Houses or just fun houses, the only limit is your imagination, and that of your children and family. Start making memories!

She {hearts} Nourish Organics

Nourish Organics is a company near and dear to my heart.  Created by a mom trying to find a product to soothe her baby’s eczema and food allergies, now owned and run by two sweet ladies, Raechel and Olivia.  Nourish Organics’ mission is to use “simple but effective” ingredients and their entire skin care line contains 99% or higher certified organic ingredients that are 100% natural.

I have tried and own almost every product in Nourish‘s line.  I may or may not be a teeny bit obsessed.  Both of my kids have eczema and very sensitive skin, and nothing soothes those dry patches than the yummy-smelling organic coconut balm.

Not much is better than a calming bath with a capful or two of the organic lavender oil.  The organic lip balms are smooth, insanely hydrating, and smell delicious.  And the organic coconut wash reminds me of a little tropical getaway while leaving my skin so soft and moisturized.

Drumroll, please.  My FAVORITE favorite product?

The organic sweet orange sugar scrub.

The name alone deserves its own paragraph!  Just a little scoop and scrub leaves my feet and legs so smooth and moisturized, and I definitely don’t even need lotion after using it in the shower.  After chasing two toddlers all day, there’s nothing like a mini spa experience for this tired momma’s feet.  And the sweet orange scent?  Delicious and refreshing.

Check out Nourish Organics‘ line of skin-loving washes, balms, scrubs, and oils.  Trust me, once you try their organic, natural products you’ll be hooked.  I know I am.

She {hearts} Furochic

PhotobucketLast Christmas season I found a gorgeous way of wrapping gifts. It’s called Furoshiki. It’s basically artfully tying fabric to make your gift wrap.

Furoshiki is super simple, but adds such elegance to any gift.

I found the most beautiful designs from a website called Furochic. All of the furoshiki wraps from Furochic are designed by Jenn Playford, and are printed on a high quality cotton fabric.

She also has a great book called Wrapagami which gives detailed instructions on how to use your Furochic gift wrap, though each wrap comes with instructions for a few different styles of wrapping.

I loved being able to give gifts wrapped in Furochic last year, and I’m really excited to do it again this year!

  • Furochic comes in 8 gorgeous designs by Jenn Playford, retailing for $10 each.

She {hearts} EasyLunchboxes

Photobucket
PhotobucketWith Rowan starting school last Fall, I was determined to find a great lunch box for him. While I totally love the idea of the expensive Bento systems, I just figured that it wasn’t for me, due to the price. Well, much to my delight, I was thrilled to find EasyLunchboxes! This is a very economical way to have an awesome bento lunch box system.

Our lunch boxes have been on a field trip, to the park, and most recently, in our backyard for a picnic snack. The kids {heart} them so much! They love that they each have their own container, their own color, and of course, they love seeing what is neatly packed away in each compartment.

Taking your lunch in an EasyLunchbox is a super way to save money and care for the environment.  No wasted baggies or paper bags.

Just for fun, make sure you check this cute little video series featuring Kelly Lester, the maker of EasyLunchboxes!

She {hearts} CobraHead

Here’s a tool for all you gardeners out there, or even non-gardeners like me. CobraHead®. It’s all you’ve longed for wrapped up in one simple tool to tote around. The company describes this baby as a “steel fingernail” and put to the test it lives up to the name. The small head allows fantastic accuracy but can still get big jobs done in record time. My husbands favorite use was as an aerator, easily breaking up the soil without damaging nearby plants. As a lefty I often find I have difficulty using some tools designed for the majority of all you right-handed folks- not so with the CobraHead® it fit comfortably in my hand and worked just as hard for me.

Some features beyond the ability of the tool I like are the recycled composite (comfortable) handle and the one year unconditional warranty, if a company offers an unconditional warranty you know they trust their product!

Besides their Original CobraHead® Weeder and Cultivator for $24.95, you’ll also find worm composting, gardening books, and product sets/packages at CobraHead.
