I enjoyed trying Mom’s Night Out on my fingers and 18K Gold Crown(ing) on my toes!  Mom’s Night Out is bright red but with a slight shimmer/sparkle that is quite lovely.  18K Gold Crown(ing) is a metallic gold that reflects light and has a nice, cool undertone.  I applied two coats of each color and they held up well!  The photos show my nails after 2 days of regular wear (hands in water, etc.).  I was happy with the coverage and the great colors!

She {hearts} Amoralia

We all know how hard it can be to find lovely, comfortable nightwear!  It’s especially challenging when pregnant or nursing, so I knew I needed to get a set of pj’s from Amoralia when I discovered their company!

I selected the “Honey” Cami and Pajama Pant Set in Aqua.  I have never slept in such comfortable pajamas!  The fabric is so soft and breathable, yet stretchy too.

I love the color and style of this set, and the lace detailing is flirty while not revealing too much.  The cami fits over my 7.5 month pregnant belly, but it will also be great to wear postpartum while I’m nursing!  The nursing openings are discreet but accessible.  I’m really looking forward to wearing this while snuggling my new baby boy this fall!

Amoralia offers other lovely items as well, such as camis, nursing tops, bras, panties, and swim suits.  Everything they sell is beautifully made, with feminine touches and high-quality fabrics.

She {hearts} BINSI

logo
Hi Res Prima CoverSometime in the next 4 weeks, I will be giving birth to our fourth child.  This is a special, anticipated, and somewhat scary time!  One of the things that I would like to try this time, is staying out of the bed.  I tend to have very fast, intense labours, and once I get in the bed, I can’t get out again.  Along with being free to move around, I was also looking for some type of clothing that would be comfortable, yet still accessible for birth.  Let’s face it… those hospital gowns are pretty terrible!

BINSI contacted me to see if I would like to try one of their birthing skirts, and I couldn’t be more thrilled with it!  I was sent the PrimaMama Skirt in Eclipse.    This skirt is surprisingly modest, which is something that some women are concerned with, even during birth.  It’s comfortable, breathable, and lightweight.

The features of this skirt are what really make it stand out as a great birthing skirt.  From the front snaps that go the whole length of the skirt, to the drawstring waist, to the side slits for maximum movement, the details were well thought out.  I am excited to give this skirt a go in the next few weeks!

BINSI was started by Carri Grimditch, a certified Doula and Mom, in 2005.  She was expecting her second baby and knew she wanted to feel more comfortable and confident.  She realized that less stress makes labour easier to handle.  By designing a skirt that works for both Doctors/Midwives, as well as mothers, she really has accomplished her goal or helping mommies-to-be feel confident during birth.

  • BINSI offers several styles and colours of birth skirts, as well as tops that are fully accessible to medical equipment if need be.
  • Each skirt also comes with a set of 8 blessing beads that you can add onto the drawstring of your skirt.
  • BINSI products are proudly made in the USA.

BINSI would love to giveaway a Basic BINSI Skirt to one lucky reader!  Please use the Rafflecopter form below to enter.  Open to residents of the US, Canada, and Australia.

She {hearts} Belabumbum’s Mom & Baby Sets

baby boom virtual shower
When it comes to gifting mom at her baby shower, the pressure to give a unique gift is on. While diapers and onesies are much appreciated, it seems that mom often receives an overload of those items. Okay, you can never have enough diapers, but I know at my baby shower, I received enough onesies to clothe triplets.

If you’re in a bind and want to grab something quick, yet unique, may I suggest the Mom & Baby sets from Belabumbum? I was gifted a Starlit set and I just had to share. The set is absolutely adorable! I seriously lit up when I opened it :-D.

Mom & Baby sets include a soft, cotton jersey nightie trimmed in lace and a matching unisex gown for baby. After delivery I know I’ll want to put on fresh, comfy pjs and instead of my usual yoga pants and tee, I’m going to want to put on something that makes me feel delicate and pretty. Belabumbum’s got me covered. To top it off, new baby and I will get to snuggle up in matching outfits after hours of our hard work. What a precious photo opp that’ll be.

She {hearts} Amamante Nursingwear

baby boom virtual shower
Amamante Signature Nursing GownBreastfeeding can make finding clothing a bit challenging, especially when you still want to feel pretty.  I’ve often felt challenged when it comes to finding great sleepwear that is also easy to nurse in.

I was recently introduced to Amamante Nursingwear, a great company that makes beautiful nursing gowns and pajamas.  Their gowns are also great to wear while pregnant too!  I have been wearing the Signature Nursing Gown in Chocolate and I love it.

The gown is so soft and comfy, but it is very pretty and feminine at the same time.  A big plus: you don’t have to fool with clasps or flaps in the middle of the night.  The fabric is stretchy and the front easily slips aside to allow for nursing access. The signature nursing gown is available in five different colors.

In addition to gowns, Amamante also offers Nursing Bras and Nursing Pajamas.

She {hearts} TummyTankz Belly Bands

baby boom virtual shower

003tummytankz As my pregnant body grows, I am starting to grow out of a few of my tops. I haven’t given up on them yet, because I don’t believe in shopping for larger clothes unless totally necessary. I have a few belly bands to wear up under those tops to cover up my peeking belly and I’ve added a few more of those bands to my collection.

TummyTankz sent me a few belly bands to wear during my pregnancy, both of which will come in handy as well as spruce up a few of my tops. How cute is the Elegance Belly Band (limited edition) that I’m wearing this morning in the photo to the left? I Looove the pattern and the colors. It’s so comfy too! It’s made of nylon and spandex so it won’t fade or get those little cotton balls all over it.

TummyTankz are very versatile and grow with a woman’s body. They can be worn as a maternity belly band, a nursing under-cover, or as an extension to any wardrobe by pairing with a basic tank or tee or wearing as a tube top, making them worth every penny.

Belly Bands can be purchased directly at TummyTankz.com for $24.95. They are currently having a sale on all solid colors making them $16.95!

She {hearts} Knocked Up Fitness

baby boom virtual shower

Let’s face it, staying in shape is a tough thing for many women, especially while pregnant (and not to mention being pregnant while chasing one or more other little ones)! Through my three pregnancies, I have tried different plans and dvds to try to stay in shape, only to quit after just a few workouts. Exhaustion and boredom quickly set in for me when it comes to working out, and during pregnancy I need something that not only catches my interest, but gives me results and makes my tired body feel good, rather than, well, more tired.

Knocked Up Fitness provides a pregnant mama a doable, safe workout suitable for all stages of pregnant. Erica Ziel, founder of Knocked Up Fitness, created these workout DVDs (Prenatal Pilates-Infused Fitness and Prenatal Core Pilates Workouts) to help a woman have a more comfortable pregnancy, have an easier labor and delivery, and help her get back to her pre-baby body more quickly after baby. Knocked Up Fitness relies on pilates, which, according to Erica, is the most effective and safe form of exercise for a pregnant woman, since it incorporates the strengthening of deep core muscles. When performing the exercises on the Knocked Up Fitness DVDs, Erica encourages mom-to-be to take it slow, drink water, and listen to her body, taking breaks when needed.

Knocked Up Fitness sent me both videos to try, and I am super impressed by them. Erica’s workouts are easy to follow, without too much instruction (I like it to be to the point!), and are between 30-60 minutes, which is doable for me. I have been following along with the DVDs for a few weeks now, and at 25 weeks I am still able to do the exercises with relative ease (but perhaps not look as great as Erica does in the process!). I am familiar with pilates and have always been relatively active exercise-wise, but I feel that even a exercise novice could pick the exercises up quickly and easily. I feel like I will be able to continue these workouts throughout my pregnancy, modifying when needed.

The Prenatal Pilates-Infused Fitness DVD encourages a combination of different workout segments and suggests a weekly schedule that changes up the exercises depending on the day of the week. I especially loved the variety of this DVD! My favorite workout segments were the pilates arms and total body pilates. I love how Erica encourages you to “hug your baby” as a means of keeping your core muscles tight and engaged. The Prenatal Core Pilates Workouts DVD is a little more straightforward with a simple core cardio segment and pilates yoga segment, as well as a short core “crash course” segment. I love the variety of this DVD as well, and definitely have felt the “good sore” feeling after following along. I am excited to continue these workouts throughout my pregnancy and look forward to seeing the results of my work after my pregnancy as well. It also doesn’t hurt to hear my three year old daughter encourage me while she watches me work out. She throws out plenty of comments, like “That’s very great, mommy!” and “Bravo, mommy!” and “Maybe someday I will do those exercises with you.” and “I really love to watch you exercise!” She kills me! On one occasion, she even got out one of her small inflatable balls and tried to do the workouts involving the exercise ball along with me. I love setting an example of enjoying fitness for my daughter, and these videos have definitely given me the opportunity to show her that even though mommy is pregnant, mommy can still stay fit and healthy.

The Knocked Up Fitness DVDs can be purchased on amazon.com. Individually, they are $19.99 each, or you can purchase a combo pack (including a free exercise band) for $36.99. You can also find Knocked up Fitness on Facebook and Twitter.
