She {hearts} LoveSac

LSLogo-site

At the end of the day, do your feet ache? I can attest that as a Mom of four little ones, I’m on my feet most of the day. Whether its making beds, doing laundry, cooking dinner, or playing with the kids, I rarely have shoes on and am constantly on the go. Its no wonder that by the end of the day my feet are sore!

So, when LoveSac contacted me about reviewing their slippers, I was game! I was intrigued as I read the description on their website: “Slippers Phur Feet…what a concept. As with anything made by LoveSac, these are simply the greatest slippers available…maybe in all the world. LoveSac Phur is a hypo allergenic polyster knit that is surprisingly durable.” I couldn’t wait to receive my new slippers and even loved the packaging that they were shipped in!

IMG_6711 Not only are their products shipped adorably, but they are also very well made. I immediately put the slippers on and have been wearing them ever since. They are super comfortable, and I love the nonstick rubber bottoms too. These durable bottoms have come in handy when I’ve forgotten to take them off before going outside to play with the kids :)

(The LoveSac Phur slippers normally cost $59, but they are currently on sale for $39!)

If you are in the market for other comfy stuff, like pillows, throws, chairs, blankets, or sacs (like XL beanbag type chairs) make sure to browse around their website.  They also manufacture sactionals, which are modular pieces of furniture that can be configured in any arrangement that  you need! Truly LoveSac is a company that has something for everyone who is looking for comfort and durability!

She {hearts} Vivobarefoot

PhotobucketOver the past few months I’ve been discovering the benefits of being barefoot.  I find that working out barefoot is so much easier on my body, and I don’t lose my balance like I do in shoes.  So when I look at footwear, whether it’s for myself or my kids, I want to have something that is as close to barefoot as possible.

Vivobarefoot
sent a great pair of shoes for Rowan.  The Neo Kids Velcro from Vivobarefoot are exactly what I was looking for.  Rowan loves them, although he seems to have outgrown them very quickly… he has grown over an inch in the last couple of months, so it’s no wonder his shoes don’t fit either!  I’m looking to get him another pair soon.  He says they are great for running, and he was super excited to be able to wear them for playing sports at school.

These shoes are super flexible to provide the best for your child’s feet.  If you’re looking for a shoe that will allow you to feel the ground beneath you, you will want to give these a try.

She {hearts} Nada

NADA

Being a yoga instructor, I have known the importance of foot and posture health for many years. I know that being barefoot is best, but unfortunately we can’t be on a yoga mat all the time. I have been interested in minimalist shoes for awhile, but I didn’t know you could have fashion coincide with this concept. Walking around looking like I was wearing gloves on my feet wasn’t gonna happen.

Nada offers two minimalist style Somnio shoes, one for running and other forms of fitness, and a ballet style, more for everyday.

The ballet flat has been my go-to shoe. They’re so comfy!  These shoes have no break-in time. They felt amazing from day one. I was a bit apprehensive about the strap, being the fashionista I can be, but it’s awesome. I have actually grown to appreciate it. I can even play soccer with my kiddos in them. I couldn’t kick a ball in  my old flats without being afraid they’d fly off!

Also, the ballet style is great for those of you who do any barefoot type fitness at a gym (yoga, Pilates, etc.). I know most of my students will wear flip-flops, easy on/off, but the gyms that I’ve taught at have a closed-toe shoe policy (which they seem to overlook for these members), but in my opinion it’s a good policy to follow. Often times you’re walking through areas where people are training with weights and equipment and it’s always good to wear real shoes in these areas. This shoe is perfect. Easy on/off, and it looks great with yoga wear–very sporty!

While I’m not an avid runner I do run outside some, but I do more indoor cardio, like dancing, kick-boxing and circuit-training. The lace-up shoes by Nada were great for all that I alternate  between. Minimal break-in time, I noticed a little rubbing on one of my feet the first couple times, but it went away and I’ve had no problem at all. I did wear thin socks with them–I don’t  think they’re meant to be worn with socks, but it just felt more comfortable to wear socks with sneakers.

She {hearts} Pediped

PhotobucketMy youngest child {hearts} shoes. Since she learned to walk, she has been walking in my high heels, her siblings boots and shoes, and pretty much any footwear she can find in our house. It’s so fun to watch!

Sometimes she actually has to wear a pair of shoes that fit her though, and when that time arises, she wears her Pediped Grip n Go shoes. They are super simple for her to get on. Just a strap that closes with velcro. So no problem at all for a little person to do alone.

My other favorite feature of Emery’s Pedipeds is the fact that they are really flexible, while still having a rubber outer sole. She’s almost 2, so she’s all over the place. She likes to walk by herself, and needs a shoe that can be worn outside. But little feet also need that flexibility to be able to move without tripping.

Pedipeds are top quality, fit chubby baby feet, and come in some super cute styles.

She {hearts} iPlay., Inc.

It’s been a long cold winter/spring, with few warm days to put together but summertime is finally beginning to whisper it’s arrival around here. For my kids summer means days spent outdoors, popsicles, playing hard, getting dirty, and water…lots and lots of water.

Made of EVA these light weight i play.® summer sneakers can handle whatever your little one throws at them. Sand, dirt, mud, water…the list goes on. My 18 month old, Jubilee, knows these are her go-to shoes for playing outside and brings them to me constantly.

With no straps, laces, or buckles I found them a snap to put on, my husband on the other hand said he was not able to do it as easily at first, but I think he’s getting the hang of it. I love knowing they will keep her feet protected while I can simply hose off whatever she dishes out.

These go on a list of must-haves for the summer.
