She {hearts} BlackRapid Camera Straps

IMG_9576copyOver the past few years, after a huge variety of experiences shooting in all sorts of environments, tight spots, hot spots and what not – One thing I have learned is that hassling with a regular neck strap on a camera can be anything but pleasant. While I don’t totally “dislike” traditional neck straps, I must say that the Black Rapid RS-W1 wins hands down.

Designed by women this strap not only has a girls figure in mind but also a professional photographer in mind as well.

The R-Strap unlike a traditional camera strap does not lay in front of your body, or stick out when slung across a shoulder. It is what they call a “sling strap” – and because of its design, your strap will hang straight down, out of your way. When the camera is needed a quick hand motion down to pull it up is all it takes. To help make more sense of this, watch the video below:

I have truly enjoyed my Black Rapid Strap! It works beautifully and has made shooting with two cameras at a wedding a breeze.

The R-Strap not only comes in the woman’s style, but also other more traditional styles. I am not a busty person, so if I were to buy another Black Rapid strap I would go with the RS-5 – It doesn’t have the curves to it and also has storage built into the strap for cards. Either way, RS-W1 or RS-5, Black Rapid has the perfect strap for you. They even have a new sports style!

I’d LOVE to win this strap! Either one is fine! I’ve seen other photographers use them and they look like they’d be so much easier to carry a backup camera without it getting tangled in your main camera strap! Also, it’d be a good break from the neck strap to just wear solo w/ your main camera! (you can pick me, Andrea!) ha ha

I would definitely g for the RS WS-1! I love the idea of a strap built with women and specifically our busts in mind. I have a regular camera strap that I’ve made extra long in order to wear my camera across my body, but it’s often uncomfortable, even though it gets the job done. :/

Thank you for spotlighting Black Rapid! These look amazing! I really love the design of the “sling” strap and how they allow you to have your camera readily accessible for use, but stay out of the way and keep the weight off of your neck when you aren’t using the camera. What a difference this will make when shooting all-day events, especially when carrying around a heavy 2.8 lens! I love the cool design of the RS-W1 and how it is specially curved to fit a woman. That’s the one I want to get. I checked out Black Rapid’s website and the straps look very easy to adjust and the piece that connects the camera to the strap seems to be very sturdy and reliable. I definitely need a Black Rapid Strap! Thermacare heat wrap sales may decrease slightly once I have one :) I really hope I am lucky enough to win this awesome strap!

I love the RS-W1, because I’m a woman, and if my husband needed to use it, I think it would still be okay. The videos on the site are great, because they show you step-by-step how to get your strap fitted for you.

I have gone from the original strap my Canon 40D came with, which was rough and uncomfortable to a few different neoprene styles which were better but still put all the weight on your neck, with a 40D, battery grip and a heavy 80-200 i carry around in crowded concerts a Black Rapid RS-7 sure sounds great!

Love the site.. it is different from those with similar interests.

I find it very pleasing to the eye (a nice change).. love the article on BlackRapid.. the best camera strap in the world! The best thing since sliced bread, the BR lasts forever and can be pushed to the limit (I know I have hung off of one)

If I was lucky enough to win I would go for the RS-7
