She {hearts} HappyDogBox

It’s not like they’re neglected. They get treats (a LOT of them.)

004-2

But you wouldn’t know it with her pitiful antics.

008-2

“Please mom. Please let me have a treat??”

Then her sister takes action by climbing on the table. Clearly I was taking too many pictures and ignoring their needs.

I wanted to say clever things about HappyDogBox but I think that these little Instagram videos I took speak loud enough.

The HappyDogBox arrives.

And Patches’ impatience: Beef Sticks for Breakfast.

Yes, indeed. The product lived up to its name–and then some!

I talk about them all the time, but yay, more room to brag! :)

I have three dogs. Dizzy is almost 13 year old and a purebred rottie who wandered into our yard one day as an older puppy, saw our son through the window and refused to leave. He sat in our small unfenced backyard (at that house) eating nothing and drinking from a rain puddle. We figured we should take the hint and get that poor boy some love. His favorite treat is string cheese :)

Astrid is almost 2 now. She is a Great Dane/rott mix. I had been looking for a second dog (and trying to convince my husband that it was a good idea) for 3-4 months when we spotted a sign on our way home that said “Great dane/Rottweiler puppies”. Like I often did I wondered out loud what that looked like. I had ZERO intention of getting a baby puppy and had been looking for dogs 6 months-1.5 yrs. But Jason immediately pulled over, even though a big thunderstorm was starting and we ended up taking a scared puppy home in a lightening storm. :) She likes darn near anything, treat wise, and is why I cannot keep any food in my purse at all. Yeah, she opens the zippers and ferrets food out.

Georgie is our brat. He was literally dropped off on our doorstep when he was 4 weeks old. His mom belonged to a friend of ours. She had been staying with one of his friends in the neighborhood, who let her get out and get pregnant, and then get hit by a car :( He was meant to be a foster. His mom was one of the few dogs that ever bit my kids, and with him only being 4 weeks, the only puppy who lived from the litter, and already food aggressive because he had to be to survive so long, we figured he needed us because he had some huge challenges to overcome to keep a home. In the end we overcame food aggression, taught him some decent manners and he developed a definite case of separation anxiety when not around us, or the other dogs. So he ended up staying. Georgie thinks cat poo is an awesome treat, has killed and brought us more rodents this year than our cat and tries real hard to be a good boy. <3 He lacks Astrid's finness and will tear boxes and bags up to get to food left inside :(
